Emergency Rooms are busy places
If you have a major medical emergency, the emergency room is the best place for you. However, there are many medical conditions evaluated in an emergency room that can be taken care of more efficiently— and more economically— in an urgent care center.
UrgentMED is one such facility. Our clinic is open seven days a week, including evenings. We take care of a wide variety of illnesses and injuries, suture lacerations, splint minor fractures, treat sprains, freeze warts, perform sports physicals for athletes, DOT physicals for truck drivers, Basic Med physicals for pilots, and even preoperative physicals for those needing surgery— all without the need to schedule an appointment.
If you need an emergency room, we have two excellent facilities in Fargo. If your medical need fits more appropriately with a walk-in, urgent care facility, UrgentMED is available to you.

Pandemic Update
The SARS-CoV-2 virus continues to cause outbreaks of infection and remains highly contagious. Despite its transmissibility, as a result of widespread population immunity and a variety of antiviral therapies, overall mortality and hospitalization rates are much lower than they were in earlier stages of the pandemic.
An updated bivalent mRNA vaccine with efficacy against both the original COVID-19 variant, as well as the newer omicron subvariants is available and recommended annually for individuals over 6 months of age and every six months for those aged 64 and older.
6.8 million people have died world-wide since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic— including 1.2 million Americans and 2,500 North Dakotans. The death toll from COVID-19 dwarfs any previous disease or pandemic our nation has faced— more than the 1918 influenza (650,000) or HIV/AIDS (700,000).
From time to time, history offers up a global challenge which requires meaningful, selfless participation by each of us.
COVID-19 has been ours.
Stay up to date on vaccinations. Follow the advice of trusted medical professionals. Keep yourself and your neighbors safe.
